Trails are now OPEN — Dec 18, 2022

All Polk county snowmobile trails were open at 6:00am on Sunday, December 18. Lake crossings are NOT safe! Do not cross any lakes. There may still be downed trees and branches on some trails. Please help clear branches/brush from trails. Please open gates if needed. Ride with CAUTION and stay on marked trails.

Trails Closed – February 7, 2022

The warm weather has forced Polk County to close the snowmobile trails at midnight on February 7. There is no significant snow in the forecast for the foreseeable future, so we need everyone to do a snow dance. Please respect our land owners and DO NOT RIDE the closed trails. Next Generation Snowmobiler

This was Kylie’s first ride on the trails after taking the snowmobile safety course last fall and recently turning 12 years old.  It was a nice ride to the KAOS warming shelter by Dresser where we stopped for a break and took a photo of Kylie and her mom.
